The COVID vaccination service is state-paid for the following categories of persons:
- citizen of Latvia;
- non-citizen of Latvia;
- foreigner, who has been granted a permanent residence permit in Latvia;
- stateless person, whose status of stateless person has been granted in the Republic of Latvia;
- refugee or person, who has been granted the alternative status;
- detained person;
- asylum seeker;
- person, whose health is insured in accordance with the Law “On State Social Insurance” – for example, regardless the type (document) of residence in the Republic of Latvia, employees, for whom social insurance contributions have to be made according to the general procedure, self-employed persons, whose income comprises the minimum amount of the mandatory contributions object determined by the Cabinet of Ministers;
- person, who presents a decision adopted by the NHS, according to which the person's rights for receiving fully state-paid healthcare services in Latvia are established.
- person, who has received S1 form in another European Union Member State, European Economic Area Member State or Switzerland (hereinafter EU Member States) and has registered it with the NHS;
- officer or employee of European Union institutions, structural units and agencies, and persons maintained by these authorities, who are included in the Common Health Insurance Scheme (employees of BEREC office);
- persons, who have been granted a temporary residence permit in Latvia;
- full-time international students, studying in Latvia;
- employees of foreign diplomatic and consular representative offices, international organizations and their representative offices, who are accredited and residing in Latvia, and their family members.
