Personal data processing within the e-health system (www.eveseliba.gov.lv) is conducted in accordance with the Personal Data Processing Law and other applicable legislation in the Republic of Latvia. The processing of personal data on the e-health portal is registered with the Data State Inspectorate of the Republic of Latvia (registration number 003563).
Regular security checks are performed on the e-health system, and representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) have certified its safety.
In accordance with the Medical Treatment Law, personal data in the e-health system can be used solely for medical treatment purposes during the provision of healthcare services.
Both patients and treating medical personnel can access the patient's medical information on the e-health system after completing the necessary authorization process and instances of data processing are logged.
